THERE’S A TIN CUP ROLLING

Short Documentary

13 minutes

This film began with the desire to juxtapose the hidden choreographies of two worlds: the physical rhythm of life on a boat and sedentary rhythm of life in a flat. What emerges is an emotional dance-drama-documentary about the nature of memory and a New Years Eve spent on Regent’s canal in 2013. When finished, Oonagh screened it at IndieCork Film Festival, Underwire Film Festival and London International Short Film Festival and then buried it. This is because it tells quite a personal story. Oonagh is now more mature about these things (!) and happy to share it online. You can watch the full film here.

THERE’S A TIN CUP ROLLING was selected by UP Projects, Somewhere Films and BRITDOC as their 2013 Floating Cinema Commission. It premiered at the launch of the Floating Cinema in Hackney Wick on Thursday July 25th 2013 and stars Irish actors Orla Fitzgerald and Siobhan McSweeney.

Written, directed and produced by Oonagh Kearney for Tyrella Pictures, 2013.
